Quilt Stand for Diametrag

Our lovely daughter, Diametrag, has the patience of a saint. Sometimes. She asked her father for a quilt stand 2 years ago. Maybe 3 years ago. Anyway, here are two pictures of progress! J has sanded once, and put on a coat of sanding sealer.

I'm not sure what comes next, but I think it endless repetitions of sanding, coat of goo, dry time, repeat endlessly.
